Hello family of mine!!!

Yeah, sorry about last week.   What it is is the lights here aren't 24/7.  It just comes and goes as it pleases and you never really know when you are going to have it or not.   Last week during the internet time, the place we usually go to wouldn't let us in because it was full and no electricity and then there is another place but that wouldn't work either because it was closed so we had to wait until the electricity came back on but it was close to having to start to work so that's why it was so short and all!  FHE with the little family went great!  We had doughnuts and other things like a cake because it also was Elder Kerrs birthday (a missionary i live with) on Tuesday so they were all singing and dancing for Kerr.  After that we had a great lesson that the bishop shared and it was powerful and very fun!   They enjoyed it alot!  They are going to be getting baptized soon - everyone is befriending them and they are always going to church and reading!  We just have to help the wife out with some things that she is still hesitant on but they are golden!  The man is ready to be baptized!   So, that's the update with them!  They are our best investigators that we have at this time.   We have a couple more that we are working with and will see where they go but also there are some that we ended up having to drop because they weren't progressing very well, sadly!

This week was one of experiences and things!  One of those experiences was giving a blessing to a sick old lady but it was actually kind of weird.   We just walked over to this investigators house and began talking to her and all and then I caught something in the corner of my eye so I looked and it was an old lady and she was waving us forward - me and my comp.   So i turned and apologized to the lady and asked if we could go see the older lady and so she took us over there and she hadn't left the bed for 8 and half months!  Her foot was cut off and I just felt bad at that time so I told her we can say a prayer for her and so we did.  After the prayer, I felt an impression that that was not good enough  - "you have the priesthood - use it"!   Clear as day I felt it!   Unfortunately, I ignored it thinking i knew what i was doing so we left her there and we went back and began talking to the lady again.   Then again, even stronger this time, I felt the feeling to go give her a blessing!  This time i couldn't ignore it so i turned to my comp and told him what we were going to do.  Then i turned to the lady we were teaching and told her about the priesthood and what we would like to do with the lady in the back.  She was fine with it so we went and gave the lady a blessing of comfort.  After the prayer it was crazy to see the change  from before.  She turned instantly grateful and began saying how that was a super beautiful blessing!  It was weird to see things work so fast.   Before she was down in the dumps and you could tell she was in pain.   After the blessing she was happy and smiling and very grateful.   I'm sure there was still pain but it didn't seem to bother her at the time!   That was just one of the amazing experiences i was able to have!  So all i can say to all you priesthood holders is - you have the priesthood - use it!   It was definitely a great testimony builder for me!

UNO is a game here.  Not like a famous game, but its a game they play!   The main game is dominoes!   It's pretty fun stuff! They like board games like back at home but most kids play a game called something like Bétia.  I don't know if that's how you spell it but it's just like baseball but for poor people.  It's a broom stick and the big blue jugs that you guys use at home.   The tops of those are hard to hit but it's way fun! There are other little games like back at home just different names for them!  Yes they do have peanut butter and alot of stuff like back at home but no one eats that because they call it Fake food, haha.  They always make fun of Americans and say they don't know how to cook - they just use artificial food or things that come from a box, haha!  Here in the capital it's just like home pretty much, not really but kinda haha!   What movies did you put in my birthday box if any?   The movies I have are the Doctrine and Covenants movies, all three, and the Church History DVDs and 17 Miracles and that's it!   How long ago did you send the package because its probably gonna take some time to get here,  but either way I'll get it some day!  Tell Thunder (Jordan) Happy birthday and that I love him!  Also Nadia!  Sounds like you all had a crazy week moving things around in Heber!   How about Betten, is he still living in the trailer we own!?   If so, where are you all going to stay for like the 4th of July or are you just not going up there?   How are the Greer's doing as well?   That's crazy it's prom time!  I remember Prom last year, haha!  Glad Morgs was able to enjoy it and all!   Who is that kid she went with?   Hahhaahaha - thanks for sharing that story (complication with Morgan's prom dress), that's funny and sad - poor Morgs!  Glad it all worked out for her though!   Look at you working out in the mornings, mom, that's way early.   Do you go alone or what?  That's way awesome!   Well mom, sounds like all is in order with you all there and that makes me happy!   Know that i love you all so much & thanks for everything especially your support!   Oh also - Cody Stewart just got transferred over here by me so I got to see him today - it was awesome!   He looks like he is doing good and stuff so that's been awesome!  It's weird - that 2 people I knew before the mission have both lived close to me during the mission!  Who knows, maybe i will even be comps. with one of them sometime!  But i best get going.   Do know that i love you all dearly and hope everything continues to go well for you all!!   I'll keep you all in my prayers and we will hear from ya all next week and don't forget - Happy birthday shout outs to Nadia and Jordan!  And yes it's very true - i will be talking to you soon on the telephone or skype - we will see what happens!!!   Love you all!!!
