Hey mother and Family!!!
Buena tardes familia de Reidhead! This week has been amazing but of course because I'm here serving a mission - haha! Yeah we did get a storm and it was crazy! The lightning here is sketchy - it is so loud and bright but it's way cool!! It's actually raining right now as I'm writing! I can't wait for JT and Cody and them to get here. I think they come next week because my first transfer is over this next week! The temple was way sweet! It's very very beautiful and it's actually quite large. I was surprised. All the pictures you see don't do it justice at all - it's so cool! It was an awesome experience to listen to it in a different language as well - different but cool! Got lots of pictures and things though so I'll send that to ya when i receive the SD card you guys are sending.
That's crazy to hear about Dad turning into an old man now, haha (He got a new calling - 2nd advisor in the High Priest Quorum). He will do great!!! He sure was an amazing Young Men's president though! He did a great job - everyone loves him so much! Glad to hear Morgan had a good time at homecoming, that's always a fun time! I'm sure she was looking beautiful - ask her what happened to writing every week like she said she was? Just kidding its all good, I understand she is busy. I didn't know Clayton got drawn this year that's awesome (Elk tag)!! He better get one and all! I heard from Coach Tenney about Mogollon - that's not good to hear but its all good!
This week has been great! Not a whole lot happened. Our investigator Mirian has been reading the Book of Mormon that we gave her and about 2 and a half weeks ago and she is already in 3rd nephi 28. She says she enjoys it as well. We are having a problem getting her to church because she has to take care of her mother on Sundays but she says she is trying to work on that so she can come with us. Then we have Blandy - he is amazing as ever - a real great investigator. He has a date for Oct. 22 and he goes to church on his own and everything - its way awesome! He is a cool guy and has all the faith in the world! We have a young man named Edward and he is very very smart but he says once he has his answer he will be baptized. He is really cool as well. He can answer our questions perfectly. He is a member of another church and pretty devoted to it but he says he wants to know about our church and things so its awesome! We have others but not as far as these ones right now. This week was kinda hard as well because tons of people were rejecting us! BUT we worked and worked hard and we knew it would pay off eventually and it did because our investigators progressed alot this week! It's hard to get members to come with us though, they aren't very devoted and not alot of them have time but we are trying our best. My comp and I are getting along just fine! We have been working hard and doing our best which is great!! It is super hot and we sweat so bad it probably looks like we just got out of the shower, haha! We may not have the best of success right now but I know our hard work and relying on the spirit is going to pay off, we just need to be patient.
Just to answer a few of your questions: Yes my friends can write me emails. That would actually be better because missionaries here don't really receive mail ever, or at least it's pretty hard to do. I haven't received a letter yet so its difficult to do. I would love whatever your little heart desires to send in a package, haha! We live in a foursome. There is me, Elder Phillips, Elder Finn (Idaho) and Elder Chapman (Dominican). We haven't moved closer to our area yet and I don't think we are going to which I am fine with. I don't mind all the walking - its all part of the experience.
I love you all so much!! Keep up the good work and know that I love you all so much! Hope you all have a great week and it was good to hear all is well with the family and everyone is healthy and happy! I hope that continues. You are in my prayers - love you all so much - talk to ya next week!!
Elder Reidhead
