Hey Mom and Family!

This morning has been a good one for sure!  We had an activity and went and played some kick ball and then after, went and ate at a Burger King!  It was way fun and I enjoyed it!  It is still pretty hot here.  I'm still always sweating up a storm but I'm getting used to it and yes it also still rains quite a bit.  We had some alright storms this weekend, nothing super special but we got some rain and all.

That's funny you guys got to see Petey and go to lunch with him!  I'm glad to hear you guys made it home nice and safe and enjoyed the trip and all!  I'm glad to hear he is doing so well.

About Mirian and Blandy - they are both progressing very well!  Their baptismal dates are coming up real soon!  We are just talking about and going over whatever we have talked aobut before because they are both done and they are just waiting to be baptized! So it's way awesome!  Yes Mirian fixed her schedule and so she is able to come to church with us now which is also great!  Remember Edward that I said we might have to drop?  Well this week we had a member come with us.  He has been a member for about 2 years but he has a super super strong testimony!  Well we had plans for other people to visit with him but sadly everyone denied us!  We were wondering where we could go when Edward came to mind so we decided to just give it a try.  It's one of the best decisions  because he was excited to see us again and the member with us sparked his interest!  He was more interested than ever before! So Edward is back and we are teaching him again.  It's awesome!  We have a new investigator that is amazing!  I'm pretty sure she is gonna be another Mirian!  She loves to read and her name is Reina.  She has shared with missionaries before but she said she felt something different with me and my comp and said that is feels like we actually care more so she has amazing questions and is very smart!  She is a bit older and her kids live in the states and she lives alone but I really think we are going to have the privilege to baptize her and I say privilege because baptizing is just another gift from our Heavenly Father.

Tell Clayto and Thunder good-luck in the Hunt and do some work! and I'm glad to hear everyone is doing so well - that always makes me happy to hear!!  I just want to share some things with you all about my study.  If you all have time, I would encourage you all to read in Alma chapters 37 and 26.  I love these chapters and I think we can all benefit from them!  I have been reading Jesus the Christ and I'm actually almost done.  I read from that and then read from the New Testament as well and holy cow things make so much sense!  Like all the parables of Christ and his Miracles and things are just so crazy its unbelievable!  James E. Talmage goes in so much detail that it just blows my mind! I love this book so much! Everyone needs to read it!  It's so amazing!  One of my new favorite quotes is "Christ changes men.  Changed men can change the world.  Men changed for Christ will be captained by Christ.  Men captained by Christ will be consumed in Christ. Their will is swallowed up in his will."  It's from Pres. Benson!  If you truly want to come to know our savior more then read Jesus the Christ!  Also something I have been noticing about my mission so far is service! I LOVE SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I don't care if its the tiniest things - I just love to do service!  Something that got me really started on wanting to do service so much was a quote from Pres. Monson, "unless we lose ourselves in service to others, there is little purpose to our own lives."  It really struck me and also I was reading a conference talk about service and it talked about the hymn  "Have i done any good" I encourage you guys to check it out and just next time you have a hymn book look at page 223 - the words are powerful and so true!  Really all the hymns have powerful words, I just never took time to read them I just went through the motions singing them.

Also this week I have had a tremendous improvement with Spanish!!  I felt very comfortable speaking this week and I felt like I improved very well this week which is always great!  My comp and I actually moved into our area this week and our house is way nicer than what we were living in.  It's very nice!  I took some pics so I'll send it to you guys next week when I try that Costco thing! I'm excited about this week also because we have Stake Conference and get to hear from Pres. Packer.  Of course he isn't coming here - its just broadcasted but I'm still excited, haha.

To answer your questions:
1. No i don't get to use my iPod or anything because its against the rules so I just packed it up and don't use it.  I actually forgot I had it until you told me just barely, haha.
2. Yes I do get to drink water alot!  It's like home - we have those jugs of water we just don't have anything to make it cool except the fridge, but yes we have plenty of water!  All I drink is juice and water - I rarely rarely drink soda.  I also do have a filtering water bottle from the MTC and I use that sometimes.
3. Yes we do have a washing machine - kinda, haha.  It's not the greatest but it gets the job done but to dry you have to just hang them up on a line and let them dry out and stuff.
4. Yes the members do feed us as often as they can.  Alot of people don't make alot of money but they are willing to give you the shirt off their back - they are very awesome but we usually only eat at a members house on Sundays.  For the most part we just cook for ourselves.
5. They have like mac and cheese and ramen and peanut butter and jelly and things, just simple things like that.  We make spaghetti and mostly rice and beans and some type of meat because that's the cheapest thing to do.  No they don't have frozen food really like back at home haha.  Like burritos or pizzas or things and they actually don't eat tacos or burritos or anything just rice, beans and meat!

That's about all for this week!  Just know that I love you all so very much!  Thank you for the emails and support! You all our in my prayers as well - ALWAYS!  Glad to hear all is well - that always makes me feel good.  Hope to hear from ya all soon like next week haha.  Have a great week!
