Emai 10/10/2011

Hey family!!!!

Santa Barbara huh? (Paul & I are taking the Pacific Coast highway drive for our 27th anniversary and thats where we spent the night last night)...thats where we did the basketball camp when I went up to Heber my senior year! That's way cool.. its nice there!! Thanks for sharing the pics.. looks beautiful and looks like you and pops are having a great time, haha! I'm doing great! Another amazing week this week! We might have to drop Edward though..he is having a hard time accepting Joseph Smith as a prophet. We have tried tons of things - bore witness and read his testimony in the scriptures and watched the restoration and just are trying hard with him but he is very active in his other church and has a ton of friends that go there so he feels comfortable and things so we need to have a big push with our few but strong young men in the ward to include him or something. We are just going to have to see. Blandy is amazing as ever! He nevers ceases to amaze me. His prayers are awesome..he is always asking for strength and things to be prepared for his baptism and to obey the commandments and then this week we watched the restoration with him and right when it got over he wanted to visit lds.org and watch the sessions he wasnt able to see in general conference. It's way awesome and he is way excited for his baptism! Then we have Mirian who is doing amazing as well. She has a very strong testimony and she is ready to be baptized. She also has a daughter that is 17 and this week mirian really expressed that she would like her daughter to start listening to our lessons and eventually be baptized so that was awesome to hear as well! She is one strong lady thats for sure! We had a good successful week. We gained quite a bit of new investigators. A lot were interested this week which is always great to hear! I sure love this work! I find it so crazy that people can have the craziest lifes but change it just to follow our savior.. it takes a ton of faith that is for sure! Oh and also with Mirian it was cool because she was bearing testimony and things to us and she said that the message we brought her filled a hole she didn't know was there. She was active in another church and she said that she felt good but that something was still missing and she said once she heard about this wonderful Gospel that the void was filled and she knew it was right! It was way awesome for sure! Other than that I don't have too much to write this week.
Just know that I'm healthier than ever and am working as hard as I possibly can! I sure love you all and I hope you have a fun time on the anniversary trip! It looks like you are and I hope everything continues to go well! Know that I sure love you all but I'm where I'm supposed to be and doing what I'm supposed to be doing! Thank you for sending the SD card it will come in handy. Love you all and have a great week!

Love Elder Reidhead
