Mother and Family!
Yes another week has come and gone - it's crazy! Time seems to be flying! It seems like summer break just started and
it's almost over - that's crazy! Haha! Sounds like you all have been
super busy with work and other activities! Things for me have been busy
as well. i'm actually not even in Bani anymore - yes transfers were last
week but it's actually because i got special transferred here to an area
called Cristo Rey. it's back in the capital, sadly. I really liked Bani! It
was super tight - i really hit it off there with the people and have alot
of great friends! It would be a place i want to visit after the mission
for sure! But i got special transferred because i guess the 2 elders
here were having some problems together and couldn't get along or get
alot done so presidente called me last Monday at around 5 and said i
was being transferred to come over here and see if i can help one of them
out. so i left that same night at about 8. I had 3 hours to be packed
and ready to go and say good-bye to some people so it was crazy! i know i
did some good there just because i only had 5 weeks and some people were
tearing up and crying. It was a bit sad just because i didn't want to
leave and all but i'm glad to be here now with my new comp. His name is
Elder Hall from Utah so another American! But he is way cool. He has
about 10 months in the mission and is really funny. He is a bit goofy
but way funny - i like him alot and we are working hard. He told me this
past week it was the best week he had numbers wise in his area and he
has 2 transfers here and it really wasn't even that great of a week so i
think we are going to work hard and find some good people! Right now we
have some great people that we have found and that we are teaching.
we are teaching a couple families that are really progressing and doing
well and them some other individuals that have alot of desire! it's
really cool for sure! my new area is nothing like Bani - it is super
crowded with people and little markets down the street and a whole bunch
of little streets that are confusing but there are a ton of people to find
and teach so i'm excited to get to work and do well! i live with 3 other Americans so so much for improving my Spanish with a Latin comp, haha
but its alright the lord knows what he is doing! Other than that not
a whole lot has happened this week! Things are going great and i'm
super healthy and happy for sure! It sounds like you all are getting the moisture you
were praying for so that's great to hear! Nick and Carly Stratton
huh? That's cool to hear tell - them congrats! I heard about Rayel and Dakota - that's crazy haha! But the craziest part is Alyssa Turley -
hahahaha that's way cool and funny! Tell them all congrats from me and
all. i'm glad to hear they are all doing so well! i sure love
President Tenney - he is a great man! Tell big old clayton i love him and will be looking for his
letter! The transfer has ended so that means Elder Kleiner is headed
home with all your letters so you should be getting those here soon!
Thunder and Rach sound like they are doing great which is great to hear! That's cool you got to see a Haitian guy! They are all over
here they are really cool as well. I like the Haitian people! The creole
language is crazy but i'm picking just a little up or at least trying,
haha! it's way hard though especially when im just working on Spanish
which is enough! what is the name of this guy? No mom Rasmussen is
the name of my kid in the mission - hahahahah - it's President Rodriguez! It's very true he is very emotional but super spiritual and is super
loving - if you are on his good side that is, haha! i like him alot! he is a
great Presidente! It was great to hear from you all and your doings
but i'll keep you posted on what's going on here in the new area once i
become a little more used to things and into the swing of it! I love
you all so much and miss you but glad to hear you all are doing great!
keep doing work and representing the Reidhead name cause not just
anyone has that name, haha!" LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Love,
Elder Reidhead
