I'm doing fantastic!!! Tired as all get out - but amazing!!! Our Thanksgiving went amazing! We had a pig leg because we couldn't find turkey and yeah other than that is was somewhat of a Thanksgiving feast, haha! It was way good - we had some Tongan dessert and cinnamon rolls and all that jazz so it was actually really good. The potatoes turned out a success as well! This week was actually super slow with our investigators. We are working and things and will continue working hard because the Lord will give us success like it says in Alma! I also read a quote to get me through the week from Pres. Eyring, its states: "It is to form a habit of pushing on through the fatigue and fear that might make you think of quitting. The lords mentors have shown me that spiritual staying power comes from working past the point when others would have taken a rest." It was actually in this past conference talk of his in the priesthood session! It was great! Also another one from him is: "For us to qualify for eternal life, our service in this life must include working with all our heart, might, mind, and strength to prepare others to return to God with us!" So even though things are slow and it's hard to get people progressing, we are still teaching people and we have some people that have a big chance of progressing!
I got an email from Morgs telling me about baskteball and things - thats way awesome to hear!! It sounds like you guys all had an amazing Thanksgiving as usual! That's great to hear! It sounds like Dad and Clayton have quite the plans going down with the fishing boat and truck, haha, thats way cool! I didn't know Aaron and Annette moved back to Heber, when did that happen!? PS: is Hudson Halm home yet?? I have been wondering about that! It's good to hear Nolan and Andilyn did a great job in their homecoming talks. It seems like yesterday Nolan was leaving haha. That's way awesome!
We had to change the dates for our baptisms they aren't quite ready but they are close! We also have some others that have some great potential! We shall see what happens. Yesterday there was a massive parade! It was the craziest thing I have ever seen! It was because presidential elections are coming up so a guy called Danilo is running so he came to town and all and everyone was going crazy!!!!!! It definitely wasn't the best atmosphere haha! Everyone was drunk and skanky women everywhere! I couldn't even talk to my comp it was so loud!!!!!!! It was crazy for sure - the craziest parade I have ever seen, haha! We also had an activity and received some references and things! It was great! We have been getting alot of support from the members lately. We had the activity actually at a members house and alot of people showed up so it was awesome! We just shared a spiritual thought and then had kinda a question answer thing - it turned out well. Then, like i told you, we had a district Thanksgiving and we ate pig leg and other things - it was way good and turned out great!!! Today we had an activity and got to play some baseball and lets just say I'm horrible, haha! No..but it was way fun! Boy are the Dominicans competitive when it comes to baseball - it's definitely there love! Just to throw this in - we ended up winning, haha! Tonight we have a family home evening with the Canario family and I'm excited for that!
Thanks so much family for the email!! I love you all so much and glad to hear everyone is for the most part happy and healthy and things!!! Love you so much mom!!!! and family!!!! Keep up the good work!!! Have a fabulous week and we will hear from ya soon! Love you ALLL!!!!
Love Elder Reidhead
